Install Freighter

Freighter is a browser extension wallet for Stellar. Install it from freighter.app (Chrome / Firefox / Brave).

Switch Freighter to Testnet

Open Freighter → Settings (gear icon) → Network → select 'Test Net (SDF)'. This ensures your transactions land on Stellar Testnet, not mainnet.

Create or import an account

In Freighter, create a new account. Copy your Stellar public key — it starts with G.

Fund your testnet wallet with Friendbot

Friendbot is Stellar's free testnet faucet. Click the button below (or open the link) with your public key to receive 10 000 XLM for testing.

Connect to OpportunityBoard

Come back here, click “Connect Stellar Wallet” below, and approve the connection in Freighter. Your balance should appear.

Post a gig and fund escrow

Go to Post a Gig , set a USD budget, and click "Fund with XLM & Publish". Freighter will ask you to sign the transaction that moves XLM into the platform escrow.
